1. When is the Festival and what else is in the program, including times?
The Perfect Light Film Festival is held across three days, Friday November 6 – Sunday Nov 8, 2020. The Festival is held in Broken Hill, NSW
The program is as follows:
The Perfect Light Film Festival Oz Indie Showcase and Networking Evening - FREE. A screening of Australian Independent movie TBA along with a Q&A with the Director and a panel discussion with established filmmakers. Followed by networking drinks and nibbles.
When: Friday Nov 6
Time: 7pm – 10pm
Where: Silver City Cinemas, 49 Oxide Street, Broken Hill
Tickets: FREE
Join us for drinks, finger food and the screening of an Australian independent movie. Rub shoulders with the stars. A great opportunity for filmmakers to network.

FREE ENTRY
Bring a rug and some friends and enjoy watching a selection of short films all judged live by a panel of celebrity judges.
12 shortlisted films will be screened competing for monetary prizes. First prize is $1K cash, second prize $500 cash, third prize $250 and the RUOK Emerging Filmmaker Award $500 cash.
Entertainment begins at 6pm with films screening from 6.30pm. Grab some friends and head down. No BYO alcohol.
The Perfect Light Film Festival Filmmaking Workshop
Join us to learn the basics of Filmmaking 101 from industry leaders AND learn different ways to fund your idea or project. A must attend for any aspiring or established filmmaker.
When: Sunday Nov 8, 2020
Time: 10am – 2pm
Where: Civic Centre, Council Offices, Broken Hill
Tickets: FREE
2. Where can I buy tickets?
The entire PLFF program is FREE to attend.
3. Is the Short Film Festival suitable for children?
The Short Film Festival on the Saturday Nov 7 contains some scenes that may offend some viewers. PLFF advises parental discretion.
4.Is there anything new this year?
Yes, to be announced soon! In the meantime, we will continue to build on the twilight markets at the Festival this year selling goods and food/drinks to the public.
Plus awesome music, great judges and exceptional films.
5. Can I BYO alcohol to the Short Film Festival?
The Film Festival is no BYO.
6.What food is on offer at the Short Film Festival?
There will be twilight markets selling food to the general public, attendees are also invited to pack a picnic to enjoy at the Short Film Festival, remember no BYO.
7.Is drinking water available at the Short Film Festival?
Yes, free drinking water is available at Sturt Park.
8.Can I bring in chairs to the Short Film Festival?
PLFF encourages the public to bring a rug to enjoy the short films. If the public do wish or need a chair, PLFF requests low back chairs and that these are positioned at the back of the site to not interfere with viewing lines.
9.Can I bring my dog to the Short Film Festival?
Unfortunately no pets are allowed at PLFF.
10.Where can I get accommodation for the Festival weekend?
If you’re looking for accommodation to attend PLFF, please make contact with Royal Exchange Hotel in Broken Hill, for a great rate whilst you're in town. Visit: http://royalexchangehotel.com/ and don't forget to mention you’re in town for the Film Festival!
11.Where can I see what films are screening for the Short Film Festival event?
Short listed films for the Saturday event are announced on the website under Festival.
12.What if I miss the short films at the Saturday event? Is there any catch up events running?
PLFF has plenty of catch up sessions throughout the year. PLFF will screen the finalist films locally – stay tuned for more information.
